PENGROWTH ENERGY TRUST ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION
OF EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT

(Calgary, June 29, 2005) /CNW/ — Pengrowth Corporation (“Pengrowth”), administrator of Pengrowth Energy Trust, announces the resignation of James J. Emme, Executive Vice-President of Pengrowth Corporation, effective July 14, 2005. Pengrowth thanks Mr. Emme for his contribution during his short time with Pengrowth particularly in the areas of organizational development and planning for organic growth on Pengrowth’s properties. Pengrowth will continue those initiatives in the coming months. Mr. Emme has stated his intention to return to the United States to pursue opportunities with an increased exploration and development focus.
