Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 23, 2011, the Board of Directors of Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (“Company”) accepted the resignation of Tamara A. Kozikowski as Chief Development Officer of the Company in conjunction with the elimination of the position of Chief Development Officer. Ms. Kozikowski is expected to remain in her current role through a transition period with her resignation to be effective later in the year. Her employment agreement with the Company will remain in place until the effective date of her resignation.
