On July 22, 2008, Union Bankshares Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2008. A copy of the Company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.

On July 25, 2008, Union Bankshares Corporation (the “Company”) announced that G. William Beale, its President and Chief Executive Officer and D. Anthony Peay, its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will be presenting at the Keefe, Bruyette & Woods 9th Annual Community Bank Investor Conference at the Waldorf Astoria, in New York City on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. The presentation is scheduled for approximately 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. A copy of the Company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.2 hereto and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.
