On May 15, 2009, Cell Therapeutics, Inc. issued a press release announcing the closure of its Bresso, Italy operations and its agreement with the employee union on a severance package. A copy of the press release entitled “Cell Therapeutics Closes Italian Facility, Reduces Headcount and Expects to Cut $14 Million in Operating Expenses” is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and hereby incorporated by reference.
