Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Effective January 1, 2014, Taylor L. Reid was promoted to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of Oasis Petroleum Inc. (the “Company”). Mr. Reid, age 51, has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company since the Company’s inception in March 2007.
Thomas B. Nusz who currently serves as the President of the Company with the title of Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer will remain the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, but effective January 1, 2014, will no longer be the President of the Company.
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On December 10, 2013, the Company announced the promotion of Mr. Reid and certain other changes to its senior management team. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.
