Item 8.01 Other Events.

On August 16, 2010, Triple-S Management Corporation (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that the Government of Puerto Rico (the "Government") notified its managed care subsidiary, Triple-S Salud, Inc. ("Triple-S"), that it completed the evaluation of the various proposals received in response to its Request for Proposals for its Reform (Medicaid) business and did not select Triple-S to participate at this time in the next stage of the RFP process, which includes contract negotiations with the Government. The Government, however, reserved its right to engage in negotiations with excluded entities should negotiations with the selected entities prove unsuccessful. The current contracts between the Government and Triple-S for the provision of services to the Medicaid population of Puerto Rico will expire by their own terms on September 30, 2010. A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
