Change of Outside Director of Shinhan Bank 
 
On May 31, 2005, Shinhan Bank, one of our bank subsidiaries, held an
extraordinary meeting of shareholders and changed one of its outside directors.
Mr. Young Hwi Choi was dismissed and Mr. In Ho Lee, President & CEO of Shinhan
Financial Group was appointed as a new outside director through a resolution of
shareholders’ meeting.
