On Monday, December 19, 2005 FPL Group and Constellation Energy announced a strategic combination of our two companies to form a combined company that will be known as Constellation Energy.

This transaction will create the nation's #1 competitive energy supplier and the second largest electric utility.

Lewis Hay, III, will serve as CEO of the combined company, and Mayo A. Shattuck, III, will serve as Chairman of the combined company, and will also head its competitive wholesale and retail business. The company will maintain dual headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida and Baltimore, Maryland.
