Other Events
On April 26, 2010, Sterlite Industries (India) Limited (the “Company”) issued an earnings release
announcing its unaudited consolidated financial results under Indian GAAP for the quarter ended
March 31, 2010 (the fourth quarter of its fiscal year ended March 31 2010) and its audited
consolidated financial results under Indian GAAP for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010. The
earnings release also announced that the board of directors of the Company has recommended a bonus
issue of the Company’s equity shares in the ratio of 1:1, a split of the Company’s equity share of
Rs. 2 each into equity share of Rs. 1 each, and a dividend of Rs.
3.75 per equity share of Rs. 2 each,
in each case subject to the approval of the Company’s shareholders. A copy of the earnings release
dated April 26, 2010 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. A
copy of the Company’s unaudited consolidated and standalone financial results under Indian GAAP for
the quarter ended March 31, 2010 and its audited consolidated and standalone financial results
under Indian GAAP for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2010 are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2 and
are incorporated herein by reference.
