On
January 10, 2008, Jasper B. Sanfilippo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Registrant (the
“Board”), announced his retirement as an employee of the Registrant. Mr. Sanfilippo’s retirement
was made pursuant to a previously disclosed succession plan approved by the Board. Mr. Sanfilippo
intends to continue to serve in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board.
