3M to post fatter profit, provide economic view

While Wall Street analysts expect 3M’s second-quarter report to show that it fattened its profit by nearly a third, the company may also provide a glimpse of how the broader industrial sector is faring in the slowing economic recovery around the globe, an analyst said.
