Huawei named Vendor of the Year and receives Project of the Year Award at Asia Communications Awards 2013.

During the 4 events of CommunicAsia 2013 held in Singapore, Huawei introduced their flagship phone Ascend P6, the world’s sleekest smart phone. In an interview with David Wei, President of Huawei South Pacific, he proudly said,
“Ascend P6 is the latest member of the P series of smartphones, using cutting edge technology, it and meets the needs of fashionistas”.
Ascend P6 has the slimmest body measuring 6.18mm, which is small enough to fit in pockets or clutch bags. Compared to the iPhone and HTC, P6 is lighter as it only weighs 120g.
Speaking of the features, Huawei Ascend P6 has enhanced screen responsiveness using the Magic Touch technology. Even when wearing gloves, the 4.7 inch HD cell LCD easily reacts to the hand motions. P6 is truly designed for fashion-conscious individuals as it appears very elegant and attention-grabbing. The metallic case jives on the naturally curved base and very thin size.
For photo addicts, Huawei Ascend P6’s 5MP Front Camera has the ability to enhance facial shots, turning them into attractive ones. On the other hand, the 8MP Rear Camera is equipped with F2.0 aperture and has the ability to record and playback up to 1080P full HD. Another highlight is the IMAGESmart software, which allows every photo capturer to become a professional. This software allows the user to access photo settings which include object tracing, scene recognition, and color enhancement. Yet, P6 is more intuitive with its Emotion user interface, which allows panoramic facial recognition and photography functions.
Along with the elegance and outer appearance, the interior settings work the most for Huawei Ascend P6. It features a 1.5GHz quad core processor and a 4.2.2 Android operating system. As it is well-known, batteries are often a problem for smart phones, Huawei has worked with QPC or Quick Power Control, improving the battery performance by 30% compared to those of equal sizes. Huawei Ascend P6 has also adopted AirSharing technology, which allows users to connect with a range of devices for sharing documents as well as playing games.
Besides introducing their flagship phone Ascend P6, all of Huawei’s latest devices were showcased at CommunicAsia which includes Ascend P2, Ascend Mate, Ascend W1, Ascend G/Y, LTE Series, Mobile WiFis, and home devices as well.
During the CommunicAsia event, Huawei allowed visitors to experience a live demo of Huawei’s Intelligence Video Surveillance Solution for governments and enterprises. Huawei’s Intelligent Video Surveillance System is designed to provide high definition, high reliability, high performance, and video surveillance services to its clients.
The 79 Series IP Phones and TE30 Videoconferencing Solutions were showcased in the event as well. This award-winning Huawei 79 Series IP Phone is a new-generation high-quality IP phone model with innovative design.
Other Enterprise Solution products that Huawei exhibited at the CommunicAsia include the Dorado G2 high performance storage, the Cloud Engine 12800 Switch Data Center Solution, and the Global Enterprise Channel program.
During the same period, Huawei, a leading ICT solutions company, recently took home the “Vendor of the Year” award in the 3rd Asia Communication Awards 2013. The said event is put on to recognize telecom companies and individuals for successful products, great services, and useful technologies.
