Karen LaFleur, head of IT at national firm LeClair Ryan, joins ACEDS Advisory Board

PRLog - Jul 29, 2013 - MIAMI -- The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists today announced the appointment to its Advisory Board of Karen LaFleur, head of information technology and litigation support at LeClair Ryan in Richmond, Virginia.

Ms. LaFleur, a respected 17-year veteran of the legal field, is responsible for developing the internal litigation support department for the AmLaw firm’s 21 offices. She joins the ACEDS Advisory Board having spent more than three years leading the Association of Litigation Support Professionals as that organization’s executive vice president.

In addition to managing LeClair Ryan’s e-discovery projects, workflow, and RFP processes, she excels in complex litigation, trial work and consulting with clients on complicated e-discovery issues and project management. She honed her skills as a litigation support manager for a well-known service provider, and regularly delivered large and complex data projects in a vast array of data formats and platforms.

Having worked in every aspect of the litigation support industry, she is committed to the development and establishment of litigation support industry standards, and the growth of the industry.

ACEDS Advisory Board includes diverse group of seasoned experts

Ms. LaFleur joins a distinguished group of experts on the ACEDS Advisory Board who hold a variety of positions in the widespread e-discovery terrain. They include a former president of the American Bar Association, a former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, a member of the Federal Civil Rules Advisory Committee, and the co-founders of ALSP.

The ACEDS Advisory Board is led by Chairman Alvin Lindsay, a partner at Hogan Lovells in Miami.
