Illustrator Nick Young Releases Book, Coyote & Crow, Exclusively On Tablet Devices
PRLog - Oct. 2, 2013 - PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland illustrator Nick Young has published his first children's book, Coyote & Crow, in eBook format, forgoing traditional methods of publishing in favor of the new mode of literary consumption.

"A completely new world opens up for telling stories," says Nick. "It's not that I do not enjoy traditional format picture books. What I like is the ability to enrich the reader's experience that couldn't be done before. I predict many future picture books, novels and comics will be bundled on numerous devices that add video and sound effects on every page. We are seeing displays get thinner, flexible, and more paperlike every year."

Description: Crow is old and wise while Coyote is resourceful and cunning. These two battle on for all time, keeping balance of the natural order. Sometimes all a person can do is crow, alerting others of Coyote's presence. Sometimes Coyote outfoxes Old Crow and runs amok. This short story takes the reader through the natural cycle of life.

"The demand and expectation is there for stories to act and feel like interactive games and movies where the power of choice is immediate. Kids today have increased access to augmented stories and that excites me."
