The Beck Group Earns Two 2013 LEEDership Awards

USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter honors The Beck Group as Outstanding Design Firm; the USF Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) project awarded Outstanding Green Building in LEED For New Construction – Higher Education.
PRLog - Oct. 30, 2013 - TAMPA, Fla. -- The U.S. Green Building Council - Florida Gulf Coast Chapter awarded The Beck Group as Outstanding Design Firm as part of its 2013 LEEDership Awards program. The firm’s project for The University of South Florida Health Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) also received an Outstanding Green Building Award in the LEED for New Construction-Higher Education category.

CAMLS is a world-class, state-of-the-art, 100,000 SF medical education conference facility. The facility, located in Downtown Tampa, transforms the training of healthcare with simulation-based education. CAMLS also focuses on designing and testing new medical devices and technologies. Beck served as both the architect and general contractor for the project.

The annual event recognized and honored the outstanding green building projects, forward-thinking businesses, innovative design teams, and instrumental Chapter members who have displayed green building and sustainable development leadership on the Gulf Coast of Florida through their practices of the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® certification—a leading international third-party green building certification.
