The Lake Norman Orchestra will present its annual Holiday Dinner and Gala Concert featuring special guest, Soprano Kelly Hutchinson in the theme of "White Christmas"!
PRLog - Dec. 4, 2014 - MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Join Maestro Eduardo Cedeño as he rings in the holiday season with the Lake Norman Orchestra and friends! The LKNO will begin the holiday season with a Dinner and a Gala Concert on Saturday, December 13.
"White Christmas” with the Lake Norman Orchestra will be held at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main in Mooresville, NC, with doors opening at 6:15 for your dinner. The gala concert begins promptly at 8:00 p.m.
This family-friendly event will present dinner catered by I Bambini of Mooresville with a dessert table of items provided by members of the Lake Norman Orchestra. Whether you come for dinner or entertainment, you're sure to enjoy the evening!
Appearing with the LKNO will be special guest soloist, Soprano Kelly Hutchinson, who has appeared in productions throughout the U.S. and Italy and was recently acclaimed for her portrayal of Anna in Opera Carolina's production of Verdi's Nabucco. Her operatic performances also include presentations of classic operas such as Don Giovanni, Così fan Tutte, Madama Butterfly and Norma to modern works such as Albert Herring, Der Geburtstag der Infantin and The Dangerous Liaisons.
You’ll also be delighted with a special Brass Ensemble performance of seasonal favorites. In addition to the Orchestra’s holiday selections, there are some surprises in store that won't leave you, should we say - Frozen. You won’t want to miss this performance featuring your all-time favorite holiday selections and a few new familiar tunes!

The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.
Maestro Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States,Europe, and South America. In 2012, he led members of the Lake Norman Orchestra on a concert tour in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, Strings Instructor and former Orchestra Director at Gaston School of the Arts in Gastonia, and Strings Instructor and Chorus/Band Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC.
