ATS Systems Appoints Allen Goad As Chief Executive Officer

ATS Systems, a Grey Mountain Partners portfolio company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Allen Goad to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Goad has over 20 years of experience leading complex businesses for high profile, public and private organizations in the aerospace, defense, service, and industrial markets. He is an accomplished leader with expertise in business and operations leadership, sales, engineering, M&A, restructuring, and business development.

Mr. Goad was most recently engaged as Chief Executive Officer at Affero Aerospace and Defense. During his tenure as CEO, he led the company's growth by closing numerous acquisitions and developing new products. In addition, he helped the company increase profit by utilizing lean manufacturing processes, consolidating the business, and leveraging a global, low-cost supply chain.

Prior to Affero Aerospace and Defense, Mr. Goad served in a variety of senior executive roles for Natel Engineering, a global leader of defense manufacturing products, where he was instrumental in creating and implementing a very successful company growth strategy. He also led the global growth strategy at a military service company, where he was Chief Operations Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Goad spent more than 13 years in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in the diversified manufacturing of highly engineered industrial products with Crane Co., a $2.6B global company (NYSE:CR). These assignments included operating responsibilities for a $263M Aerospace business unit that consisted of 7 high performance manufacturing factories. He also led Crane Co. in its transformation to operational excellence as an Enterprise Master Black Belt reporting to the CEO.

Mr. Goad began his career as a Research and Development Chemist and is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Chemistry from Arkansas State University and a Presidential and Key Executive M.B.A. from Pepperdine University.

Mr. Goad brings an incredible breadth of experience and capability to the senior executive team. His strong leadership background in operations, sales, engineering, finance, and strategic initiatives for multi-national firms fills a critical need as ATS endeavors to grow its business.
