NCADD is an approved provider by the Florida Board of Certification (FCB). The FCB establishes, administers, and monitors certification programs in addictions, mental health, behavioral health, child welfare, and prevention.

www.addictiontrainings.com is dedicated to providing web-based addiction training. The newly re-done site enhances the visitor experience while also providing information for those seeking initial and renewal credits as addiction counselors.

Individuals in Florida who wish to become Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) are required to take 352 hours of training. NCADD’s online courses cover 270 or 77 percent of the required hours.

Individuals seeking Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) certification are required to take 252 hours of training and NCADD provides 250 of those hours.

NCADD’s courses are delivered entirely online in an engaging and interactive format responding to the needs of individuals who are unable to take addiction courses through the traditional workshop format. The courses use the latest training technology for a convenient and professional experience.

The courses are a low-cost, effective alternative to sitting in a classroom. Course outlines are available for download and certificates can be printed immediately after passing the included knowledge test.

“We are truly pleased to offer our FCB-approved courses to addiction professionals in the state of Florida,” said NCADD’s Acting Executive Director Ezra Helfand. “More than 1,300 individual professionals took our courses last year, because they do not need to take time away from the job and travel all over the state for training. It is now available to individuals in Florida wherever they are, whenever they want.”

The eLearning website was developed by NCADD’s training partner, MindCross Training, a boutique provider of innovative learning solutions for all organizations.
