Kendall Minter, Esq. To Receive NBA "Living Legend Entertainment Attorney Award 2015"

The National Bar Association’s Entertainment & Sports Law Section will present the 2nd “Living Legend Entertainment Attorney Award” (2015) to Kendall Minter, Esq., one of the nation's leading entertainment and media attorneys at the 90th annual NBA Convention in Los Angeles, California on July 23, 2015.
PRLog - July 10, 2015 - NEW YORK -- As the nation’s oldest and largest affiliation of predominantly African-American lawyers, judges, educators, and law students, the NBA has 84 affiliate chapters throughout the United States and in Canada, the UK, Africa, Morocco, and the Caribbean. Today with over 20,000 members, they have gained international recognition for efforts on behalf of the disenfranchised and politically oppressed people of the world. With such global distinction, the NBA has also become renowned for its tradition of paying tribute to examples of leadership found across the nation. At similar ceremonies, such as their Gertrude E. Rush Award Dinner, they have honored an impressive list of dignitaries, like the nation’s first African-American judge, poet Gwendolyn Brooks, Hon. Shirley Chisholm, Johnnie Cochran, Hon. Barbara Jordon, Hon. Kweisi Mfume, and the Hon. Maxine Waters among many others. Past Living Legend Awards have gone to BESLA founder, Larkin Arnold, of Arnold & Associates, its 2013 Entertainment Attorney of the year award to Lita Rosario, President and CEO of WYZ Girl Entertainment Consulting, LLC, its 2013 Sports Attorney of the Year award to Eve Wright, VP and Associate General Counsel Miami Heat and its first Living Legend Sports Attorney Award to William Strickland.

Joining this roster of notable trailblazers, author/attorney Kendal Minter-an alumni of Cornell University (B.A.) and Cornell University School of Law (J.D.)-is an internationally renowned entertainment attorney with over 35 years of experience. His boutique law firm, Minter & Associates, LLC, represents a diverse international clientele in the areas of entertainment, corporate, intellectual property, sports, and new media matters. Recognized in Who's Who in Entertainment, Who's Who in The East, and Who's Who amongst Black Americans; his clients include artists, entertainers, celebrities, actors, politicians, religious leaders and churches, producers, songwriters, managers, production companies, executives and authors. Minter will be present to receive the award, joining thousands of other attendees in Los Angeles, July 23rd, 2015. The Sports Law Seminar is scheduled at 10 am - 12pm; the Entertainment Law Seminar will run from 1:30pm - 3:30pm; with the NBA Entertainment & Sports Law Section & BESLA Reception from 5pm - 6:30pm.

ABOUT KENDALL MINTER

Attorney and author Kendall Minter is also co-founder and inaugural Executive Director of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (BESLA) and currently serves on its Advisory Board. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and is the Chairman Emeritus of that organization, is a member of the Board of Sound Exchange, and General Counsel/Member of the Board of Directors of the Living Legends Foundation. As well, Minter is an Instructor in the School of Music at Georgia State University, where he teaches Copyright, and Music Publishing. He previously taught at Benjamin Cardoza School of Law as an Adjunct Professor.
