ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Oct. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Decksouth, an Alpharetta, GA-based custom design and build firm, took home two first place awards at the 2015 Remodeling Show | DeckExpo | JLC LIVE (R|D|J). In a national competition among the top deck builders and remodelers across the country, Decksouth took home 6 total awards. With over 200 entries, the judges had no shortage of top quality projects and builders to choose from.
The top awards for “Best Porch” and “Limitless Creation” were awarded to the Alpharetta-based company. Along with these first place finishes, they received 2nd place in the “Alternative Deck” category and in “Best Porch over $20K”. To round out the competition, Decksouth received 3rd place in the “Wood Deck” and “Limitless Creation” categories.
The winning project in the “Best Porch” category features a Trex Transcend synthetic deck with a gable screen porch. A fireplace and custom made Bahama shutters add some finishing touches that proved to set this project apart. A custom fire pit below the deck and a paver patio help to make sure that this outdoor living space will be used year round.
The “Limitless Creation” category winner also features a Trex Transcend synthetic deck with an expansive 1500 sf of deck space on two levels. The 20’ elevation proved to be a design challenge that Decksouth utilized its years of building experience to overcome. A low maintenance handrail, custom kitchen and a pvc wrapped arbor provide the finishing touches to this amazing project.

Decksouth was one of many builders from across the country competing at the recent National Deck Competition, an awards program sponsored by The North American Decking and Rail Associoation (www.NADRA.org).
