Health Net of California Again Earns NCQA Multicultural Health Care Distinction

Health Net of California, Inc., a subsidiary of Health Net, Inc., has again received the Multicultural Health Care Distinction from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), the company announced today.

It’s the third straight time since 2012 that the company has earned the two-year distinction, and Health Net remains the only health plan in the nation, to date, to earn the distinction simultaneously for its commercial, Medicaid and Medicare lines of business.

The Multicultural Health Care program evaluates how well an organization complies with the standards for the following areas: collection of race/ethnicity and language data; provision of language assistance; cultural responsiveness; quality improvement of culturally and linguistically appropriate services; and reduction in of health care disparities.
