The idea for eBumper came years ago when founder, Mark Sulzen, wanted to promote the business of a friend but could not bring himself to put a bumper sticker on his car. He wanted a display that could be changed easily depending on current business promotions or offers. One that wouldn't fade or peel and be immediately outdated. After researching, he realized that automotive regulations didn't allow any lights or video displays. There were issues with wiring the power, mounting, and waterproofing. With so many challenges he understood why there were no products on the market, but he set out to design a solution.
A year and a half and a lot of hard work later, Mark and his team have created a patent pending design which meets the original goal. The display is not backlit, so it's legal on the road. It's an ultra low power design that solves the power problems with a battery that can last over a year. The rugged case is waterproof and can be easily mounted without damaging the car. They have a working prototype and are ready to enter mass production. The team is now looking for backers so they are able to produce enough units to keep the price low.
There are over 25 million small business in the US alone and they all need to advertise. The space on every car can be used effectively to get marketing messages in front of drivers.
