ROANOKE, Texas - May 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Just in time for Father's Day, author Belinda Mays debuts her second children's book titled 7 Days with Daddy that documents how a Daddy and Daughter duo pass time while Mom is traveling for business. Available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, 7 Days with Daddy introduces early readers, ages 3-8, to time concepts and is a tribute to Super Dads everywhere.
Mays' oldest daughter was having difficulties understanding before and after concepts. According to Sheri Stults, preschool director at Shepherd of the Hills Christian Preschool in Centennial, CO, this is not uncommon. Preschoolers struggle with the concept of time because it is not something they can touch, feel and explore. Mays took this opportunity to humorously reinforce a school lesson while highlighting the special bond between a father and his daughter.
A charming tribute to fathers is not a new theme for Mays. After her father's passing in 2013, she delivered a speech about her Dad, Berkins Booker, Jr., and his career as an Air Force mechanic. This display of respect and adoration won Mays a Toastmasters Tall Tales contest and resulted in her first book, My Amazing Dad. It has been a source of inspiration ever since.
Simultaneously captivating a child and entertaining an adult can be difficult to master, but Mays does it superbly, says Teri, a librarian at Roanoke Public Library. 7 Days with Daddy can be found for purchase at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other online book retailers.
