CHERRY HILL, N.J. - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Getting a Section 333 exemption from the FAA is currently one of the biggest hurdles when obtaining a commercial drone operating license. According to FAA.gov (as of 6/8/16), there have been 5,309 authorizations granted for companies to use drones. In Part 107 of Chapter 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, also known as the "Small UAS Rule," it is proposed that more commercial drones would be usable without a Section 333 Exemption. These UASs (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) would have to be under 55 pounds and only be in operation during daylight. The maximum speed proposed is 100mph, and the maximum altitude is 500 feet above ground level. There are many other requirements that the operating company would need to abide by in order to be in accordance with Part 107.
