About The Choreography Lab

Now in its 3rd season, the Choreography Lab is a home for theatrical choreographers to explore work at all stages of development. The lab supports and offers emerging choreographers an arena to develop their storytelling abilities. The lab also aims to build collaborative relationships between choreographers and musical theater composers, librettists, directors, and producers in an effort to integrate choreography into early new work development. While many choreographers have their own developmental processes and resources, New York Theatre Barn is the only theatre company that supports a curated Choreography Lab where choreographers can develop musical staging for a new piece.
