NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sept. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Queen Brooklyn Tankard, star of Bravo TV's hit show Thicker Than Water and founder of the I AM ROYALTY Extravaganza and Awards, has announced via social media that the ceremony scheduled for 6:30 pm October 1st, 2016 at RockeTown will benefit the Batts family of Nashville, TN. Timea Batts was recently killed when her father reportedly shot the 11-year-old child after being startled from his sleep. Timea Batts left behind her two sisters, one brother, her mother and loving family.

Queen Brooklyn Tankard stated, "My heart truly aches for Timea Batts' family who has been emotionally traumatized and financially devastated by this very unfortunate event which also took away the breadwinner for this family, her father. I couldn't imagine the pain of losing my sister or my daughter, and I feel that as a community it is our duty to unite and support the Batts family during this time. I am honored to help empower this family emotionally and financially, and I am thankful for any support in doing so."

Mr. Timothy Batts owned a Barber Shop which is currently in disrepair and will require much renovation to help keep the finances of the family going. With the help of volunteers and sponsors, Queen Brooklyn Tankard and friends plan to renovate the salon and name it after Timea in her memory and to assist the family with any needs during this time. We are honoring the Batts with the I AM ROYALTY Award to remind them that they are royalty and can not only survive but thrive in life – even in the face of tragedy. It is with this mindset that they will be able to approach life and live up to their highest potential."

In addition to sponsoring the Batts family, we will empower other children and mothers and honor community leaders that have made great professional accomplishments and contributed to philanthropic projects. The Award Show, which is a highlighted evening event of The Universal Beauty and Health Expo, will kick off with a celebration of the honorees through an innovative musical featuring fantasy hair and makeup, flying aerial dancers, and new music from Queen Brooklyn's upcoming visual-album also titled I AM ROYALTY! Queen Brooklyn stated, "We are trusting that with financial support from the I AM Royalty Extravaganza and Award Show, and acts of kindness, love, and generosity from the community we will be able to build a bridge of hope for mothers and their children in Nashville and across the world."

In order to guarantee the success of this charitable event, we encourage our local and national community to join us for the The Universal Beauty & Health Expo (http://ubhexpo.com/) 2016 which includes 2 Power Packed days of fun, entertainment, education, networking and empowerment for the entire family and professionals from 10am - 4pm on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st.
