Virgin America, Alaska Airlines pilots win big pay increases, more retirement benefits following arbitration

The bigger paychecks, which come at a tough time for the airline, and follow arbitration that began in August. Senior Virgin America captains get a 33 percent pay raise starting Nov. 1.
