Boskone 55 Announces its Featured Guests and Participants for February 2018!
BOSTON - Dec. 5, 2017 - PRLog -- The New England Science Fiction Association (NESFA) is pleased to announce the return of their annual science fiction and fantasy convention, which will take place at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston, MA from February 16-18, 2018.

Boskone welcomes Guest of Honor Mary Robinette Kowal, award-winning author and puppeteer. The full slate of Featured Guests includes Official Artist Marianne Plumridge, Special Guest Craig Miller, Young Adult Fiction Guest Tamora Pierce, Hal Clement Science Speaker Catherine Asaro, and NESFA Press Guest Nat Sealoff. Whether one is a lover or creator of books, movies, music or art, Boskone has something for everyone—celebrating and supporting both fans and professionals.

Boskone's unique program offers science talks, science fiction and fantasy panels, discussions, demos, and workshops led by authors, artists, publishers, editors, agents, fans, educators, and scientists. Featuring diverse program events expected of a big convention, Boskone maintains an intimate and interactive atmosphere, making it one of New England's favorite conventions for fans and pros alike. Program participants include astronaut Cady Coleman, Elizabeth Bear, Bruce Coville, Auston Habershaw, William Hayashi, Les Johnson, Scott Lynch, Max Gladstone, Sheeba Maya, Robert V.S. Redick, Lauren Roy, Robert Sawyer, Karl Schroeder, Vandana Singh, Tui Sutherland, Michael Swanwick, Christine Taylor-Butler, Paul Tremblay, Fran Wilde, Kenesha Williams, Walter Jon Williams, Jane Yolen, and more!

More than 1,300 fans and professionals will be coming together for a weekend filled with fun and educational panels, readings, children's activities, demos, autographing, small-group discussions, filk singing, videos, games, art, and whatever else a geeky heart could desire. Boskone is New England's longest-running science fiction convention, the very first having happened in 1941. Programming starts on Friday, February 16, 2018 with free programming on Friday from 2:00-6:00 pm. Memberships are required after 6:00 pm on Friday and throughout the rest of the convention.
