PIANO SLAM is a high powered cross-genre Music/Poetry/Dance extravaganza recommended by The Miami Herald as "a fantastically hip musical showcase for the voices of Miami's young poets in an extraordinary collaboration of top international and local artists" PIANO SLAM is directed by Broadway stage artist Tea Alagić.
For over a decade, from Hialeah to the Beaches and Miami Gardens to Homestead, the Dranoff Foundation has been connecting teenagers love of music to professional performance artists across creative boundaries -PIANO SLAM has worked with over 75,000 students making Classical music fun and an inspiration for their own writing.
2018 is the celebration of 10 years of the Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation bringing live classical and literary performance in Miami Dade Public schools and matching Spoken Word with professional Classical and Hip-hop artists in a Free Concert at the Arsht.
PIANO SLAM 10 takes place on Wednesday, February 28th at 7:30PM at the Knight Concert Hall in the Adrienne Arsht Center located at 1300 Biscayne Blvd, Miami FL 33132.
The concert is FREE but tickets are required. Tickets at www.arshtcenter.org
About the artists
TEA ALAGIĆ is an internationally-acclaimed, multilingual director. Based in NYC, her credits include Broadway, regional and international productions of both traditional theater and devised work.
DAVIDE & DANIELE TRIVELLA capture audiences in Europe and Asia with their original style and their fantastic energy. Deeply rooted in the music of the great classical composers with a passion for the works of their own time, their repertoire reaches from the masters of the 18th Century to those of the 21th.
DJ CARDI is a Miami born and bred DJ that landed residencies in world famous nightclubs such as LIV at the Fontainebleau, the Clevelander in South Beach, and Space.
BRAZZDANCE is a leading Miami contemporary dance company, led by renowned Brazilian choreographer Augusto Soledade.
