LONDON, Wales - Feb. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- Patch 8.2 is big for various reasons. From big nerfs for some champions, and buffs for others, updated splash screens, this patch will change many things in gameplay and balance. Without further ado, some of the highlights of patch 8.2.
Champion Skill Changes
Across the board, many champions got nerfed, such as Evelyn and Ezreal. Others got buffed, such as Nunu, who gets bonus magic damage on basic attacks, and Blood Boil now increases ability power on both targets.
Perhaps one major change to gameplay is Ornn. On this patch, he is no longer unstoppable during Bellows Breath, and he has a lengthened ultimate skill cooldown. Jinx also got a variety of changes to her skills. Her passive will no longer stack but uncaps speed when she is Excited. Her weapon scales harder with skill rank now, instead of scaling with level. Besides those updates, the developers emphasized her wildcard nature by amplifying her ability to snowball.
Other Important Changes
They reworked the LoL items. Runic Echoes now restores 25% mana. For support items, Sightstone has been removed, as well as other tiers 3 support items such as Frost Queen's Claim. Also, in what could be very game-changing, is how minions react to targeted damaging spells. Before this patch, those minions would ignore targeted spells. Now, they'll ignore it no more. Many skills are affected by this, so take the time to read through that list.
