Current Builders and RCC Associates Donate $150,000 Each In Funding, Materials and Professional Construction Hours for Total Home Builds:One Built in One Week, Another Completed in One Month
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - April 16, 2018 - PRLog -- During Habitat for Humanity of South Palm Beach County's (HFHSPBC) 2018 Home Builders Blitz, two leading South Florida commercial general contractors and their professional teams "fast track" built, donated and dedicated two homes in Boynton Beach to hard-working, low income Habitat Partner Families.  Representing more than $300,000 in funding, materials and professional labor, Current Builders (CB) and RCC Associates (RCC) each built a new home, from the foundation to walls to raising the roof, and then outfitted each with flooring, plumbing, air-conditioning, painting and kitchen and bathroom cabinetry.

CB (www.currentbuilders.com) that has blitz built three Habitat homes delivered a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home for the Fuller-Bristol family within one week. RCC delivered its third Habitat blitz home, a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, within one month for HFHSPBC's first mother/daughter co-homeowners Augustine Augustin and Saradjine Pierre.

As part of a national HFH Home Builders Blitz tradition beginning in 2002, the HFHSPBC blitz annually unites professional commercial and residential builders for shared purpose - to build safe, affordable housing for families in need of a decent place to call home. Using their skills and industry relationships, they exponentially grow Habitat's local work in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.

According to HFHSPBC Chief Development Officer Kari Oeltjen, partnering with Habitat is an excellent way to achieve corporate social responsibility goals while making a lasting impact. HFHSPBC offers various opportunities in which employers, employees, their subcontractors, vendors and clients can bond while strengthening whole communities.

"We are honored that Current Builders is able to give back to the community in such an important way," said Scott Remer, vice president of operations atCurrent Builders, an award-winning general contractor, established in 1972, with average annual revenues of $150 million.  "It was a joyful experience to meet the Fuller-Bristol family and then see how excited they are about their new home. This blitz project makes our entire team feel good, and we are thankful to all of our subcontractors who also donated their time and resources to make the Fuller-Bristol family's dream come true."

Robyn Raphael-Dynan, a HFHSPBC board member and vice president of operations at RCC Associates -- a widely respected women-owned national General Contractor headquartered in South Florida for over 45 years -- noted that RCC is proud to be the presenting sponsor of its third blitz build.

"It is exhilarating for us to 'speed build' a complete home with our fellow community-minded subcontractors and vendors in such a short time, a process that traditionally takes nearly a year to complete for Habitat Partner Families," noted Raphael-Dynan. "We know that due to our collective underwriting, in-kind donations and onsite construction, Augustine Augustin and Saradjine Pierre are now able to build the strength, stability and independence they need to create a better life for themselves and future family generations."
