Charlotte is one of few 'strong contenders' to land RNC

The Queen City is one of seven cities that either formally or in part bid for the RNC — a number that has since been whittled down to about three "strong contenders," said sources on Friday, who were in Miami this week attending the Republican National Committee spring meeting.
