Japanese e-commerce giant buys Palo Alto retail pickup startup

The startup was founded five years ago by Apple engineers and powered mobile ordering and curbside pickup at retailers who include CVS, Sephora, Chipotle, Nordstrom, Pizza Hut and Westfield Oakridge.
