Boeing-backed GoFly contest for personal flying machines picks first winners (Images)

The vehicles must be safe, quiet, small, be able to take off and land vertically and fly 20 miles while carrying one person. Boeing invested $2 million into the competition. It's one of the ways Boeing hopes to identify innovative technology to stay ahead of the competition, including competitors that may not yet exist.
