Tech’s top privacy chiefs meeting this week to hammer out self-imposed guidelines

Facing the threat of heavier, European-style privacy regulations from U.S. lawmakers, a group of executives from some of the technology industry’s biggest companies are meeting in San Francisco this week to work on voluntary consumer privacy protections.
