Honolulu shelves $772M plan to redevelop Blaisdell Center

The city has been working on a plan to redevelop the city and arts center, which opened in 1964, since 2015 and, until now, actively seeking potential private partners through a request-for-qualifications process and planned to close the facility down for construction at the end of this year.
