“Remember My Dear, When Corona was Just a Beer?”

Asbury Park, Mar 29, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - New Jersey Singer Songwriter Brian Mackey, has written a song titled "Keep the World Alive", that just may be the soundtrack for quarantined-hope during the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Mackey opens the song with a simple question...

"Remember my dear, when Corona was just a beer, and we didn't need a mask to leave the house?

"Remember my love, when we didn't wear the gloves, to pick from the super market shelf?"

         "Keep the World Alive..."

He goes on to ask more valid queries of the listener and states observations in this way-less-than somber track. The song dives into lessons learned in this world of "social distancing", isolation, and the longing for the "not-so-distant" days gone by. As our world is morphing into something that is hard to recognize, Mackey says "it was written in a small effort to cheer up his friends and fans, and hopes that we can all pull out of this together as one globally united family.

Mackey is no rookie to the music scene. He has toured the US and Europe with American Idol's, Taylor Hicks, One Tree Hill's Tyler Hilton, and Kate Voegele, as well as famed singer-songwriters Howie Day, Ron Pope (Vampire Diaries), among others. His recent collection of singles was produced in Hollywood, CA by Los Angeles producer, Jon Levine (Dua Lipa, Rachel Platten, Andy Grammer).

Brian broke into the world market with his track, "Are You Listening" which was used in the Sony Playstation Until Dawn Let's Play, which netted millions of views and garnered him a spot on the iTunes Top 25 Germany. He also was previously included in "Songs of Love for Japan", a disaster-relief compilation with Sara Bareilles and Ani Defranco.

He just finished recording a new collection of songs at Sony Tree Studios in Nashville, TN with his long time friend, guitarist Jeff King (Reba McEntire) and expert engineer, Andy Waterman (Hal Leonard). He is slated to release his 2nd full-length album this Fall.

He will be holding free Facebook + Instagram live shows from his home every Friday until the quarantine is lifted. In lieu of ticket sales, he's encouraging all viewers to donate to https://www.globalgiving.org/ - Covid-19 virus relief fund.
