A major part of the economy grew again in August, ISM finds, but jobs are only slowly coming back

The part of the economy that employs the vast majority of Americans expanded again in August, but companies still anxious about the next stage of the recovery are waiting to see how fast sales pick up before bringing most of their workers back.
