MANILA, PH, November 14 – Authority Fusion, Inc. has immediately sent a donation to Filipinos in the Bicol Region who suffered from the wrath of Super Typhoon Rolly (international name Goni).
Twenty lives were lost and 230,834 families were affected and displaced as a result of Rolly’s onslaught, based on the November 5 data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC). The super typhoon, which was at Category 5 (massively destructive level) has swept most of the southern parts of Luzon including Bicol, Metro Manila and its surrounding provinces (CALABARZON region).
Authority Fusion, Inc. did not wait long before sending help to several distressed Filipinos who were directly impacted by the typhoon, especially that Super Typhoon Rolly came on the heels of Typhoon Quinta (international name Molave).
Caritas Manila has called for relief aid to provide affected residents with their immediate needs. In an official statement, the religious organization said collected cash donations are distributed to the Diocese of Caceres, Diocese of Daet, Diocese of Gumaca, Diocese of Legazpi and Diocese of Virac. The amount will be allotted for food bags, shelter materials, clean water, bedding materials, ang hygiene items.
Crowe is hopeful that the company’s donation will help relieve the suffering of those who lost their homes or loved ones to the super typhoon.
“Six of our team members are Filipinos from different parts of the country and it is my responsibility as CEO of Authority Fusion to look after them and those around them, their families and friends in the Bicol Region who were affected by the super typhoon. We chose Caritas Manila because of its wider outreach through the different Dioceses which means, with our humble donation, it could help and bring relief to many families,” Crowe said.
Having experienced super typhoons in the past, Authority Fusion’s editor-in-chief Jen Molon believes that looking after one another eases any disaster.
“I have seen several super typhoons that destroyed our town (Tanza, Cavite) and even our own home and properties, so I know the plight of our brothers and sisters in the Bicol Region who are suffering the most because of Typhoon Rolly.
