Eastern Standard, sister Kenmore restaurants shut down

Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar and the Hawthorne have been shuttered since the beginning of the pandemic, but for months those closures were considered potentially temporary. Harker was in negotiations with landlord UrbanMeritage about a reduced rent for the spaces, talks that had been ongoing for years but that reportedly intensified after Covid-19 hit.
