JEA Senior Living Welcomes New Executives

Toward that end, JEA is proud to announce the addition of two industry leaders, Angie Fleenor and Kayla Wersal, to our executive leadership team.  

Angie Fleenor, APRN, MSN, FNP-BC, has been named our new Vice President of Clinical Services. Angie brings over 16 years of experience in executive healthcare leadership in senior living, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, and PCR laboratories to JEA. She is a skilled clinical leader and a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in geriatrics. Angie is experienced in chronic disease management and is an advocate for antibiotic stewardship in the elderly. She brings a unique perspective for organizations from a provider and an operator standpoint. In addition to her extensive experience in executive leadership roles as a Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, Angie was also the principal owner for a consulting business where she consulted for numerous healthcare companies to increase NOI and improve patient quality of care. Angie currently sits on the American Assisted Living Nursing Association advisory board. 

Kayla Wersal, LVN, has been named as our new Vice President of Programming. Kayla brings over 35- years' experience in the healthcare industry with leadership roles ranging from clinical to operations and business development. Her love for seniors began in her high school days working as a certified nursing assistant. She graduated from the Mankato State University nursing program and obtained her nursing license in 1982. For the last 18 years, Kayla's professional goal has been to improve the lives of those with Alzheimer's disease. Kayla's vast accomplishments include the development and global rollout of the Moments in Time® Alzheimer's and memory care program now successfully used in over 70 communities in the United States and throughout China, as well as the development and global rollout of the Life Enrichment activity program used in over 100 communities nationwide and internationally. Kayla serves as a keynote speaker in the fight against Alzheimer's disease, both in the U.S. and abroad.
