While most crypto hardware wallets use a minimalist design, with small screens and simple layouts, the new device from SecuX takes the opposite approach, with a device that is over 50% display screen. At 2.8 inches, the Nifty wallet has the largest color touchscreen to ever launch with a hardware wallet and several new safety features that are unique to NFTs.
Every Nifty wallet comes with a built-in military-grade Infineon SLE solid Flash CC EAL5+ Secure Element chip, which meets or exceeds the industry standard for crypto wallets, and helps to protect private keys against cyber threats. The device also uses an automatic PIN shuffling feature that causes the numbers to appear in a new position each time, so no one can determine a user’s PIN by the wear on their wallet.
The Nifty wallet also has a new NFT verification feature, which has not been seen before on any hardware wallet. Known as "true ownership on-device viewing and confirmation,” SecuX has designed the Nifty wallet to only display NFTs that are owned by the account holder, which allows the wallet-holder to verify their ownership of an NFT, just by showing it on their screen.
The device comes packaged with an X-SEED aluminum backup sheet, which traders can use to record the backup recovery seed phrase for their Nifty wallet. With the seed phrase safely recorded on a waterproof and highly fire-resistant metal plate, traders can restore the contents of a lost, stolen, or damaged wallet, simply by entering the phrase into a new device.
Though the Nifty wallet is intended primarily for NFT collectors, it also supports coins on Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chains (BSC). Using in-app support, it allows easy access to online DeFi marketplaces for buying, selling, viewing NFTs, and checking rarity trackers.
