The SoLa Fundamentals team will provide 10,000 necessity kits for the homeless
Los Angeles, CA - June 18, 2023 —
Daniel “Jungleman” Cates in association with Ova Media Group has partnered with SoLa Fundamental to make a difference in the lives of LA increasingly large homeless population over the next 24 months. Ova Media Group’s, COO Cassandra Cooper and Cates have made a long- term commitment to serve the population thru its 3-tier plan.
On Sunday, June 25 at 3:00pm-5:00pm, Cooper and Cates will lead a community event, Underwear for the Homeless, at Leimert Park on Crenshaw Blvd. The donations will be matched up to four times (for every dollar spent, an additional three dollars in matching will be donated) in hopes to inspire others to give.
The Project Activations will be as Following:
1st: This June, the SoLa team will provide 10,000 necessity kits that will include waterless shampoo, socks, clean t-shirts and other essentials for their daily needs. Each person will receive a Lunch Pack with non-perishable foods and bottled water.
2nd: The ongoing initiative is to put a mobile unit on the road to reach a much larger population where they are camped out. The SoLa team believes everyone is entitled to clean clothes and a meal minimally. OVA Media Group will make a strategic partnership with the Mayor’s office, HUD, major corporations, local politicians, LAPD and others to assist those that are unhoused connect with available resources for housing, medical care and job resources for those who wish to be reintroduced into back into society, with housing medical care and a new marketable skill.
3rd: Seek vacant land to create a secure location with toilets, showers and secured parking away from public property. Additionally, the land will be procured for a 50-bed shelter andtiny home campus.

It began with a food bank in the Step1Tv Studios that was shuttered during the pandemic.
