The Arkansas Horseshoeing School, with a distinguished history of over 130 years in blacksmithing and farrier practices, is delighted to announce the schedule for its 2023 Farrier courses. The new courses are set to commence on August 1 and September 5, 2023.
The Arkansas Horseshoeing School is committed to equipping the next generation of farriers with the necessary skills and knowledge. Students can choose a schedule that aligns with their needs and budget from their offering of 8, 12, 16, and 24-week traditional courses. The school's extensive curriculum offers instruction in various key areas, including business management, equine anatomy, diagnosing hoof problems, hoof trimming, blacksmithing, and more.
The upcoming Farrier classes will begin on August 1 and September 5, 2023, respectively. Classes start the first Tuesday of each month, excluding specific holidays. The school's spokesperson confirmed that the sessions take place from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with possible extension into the evening until 8:00 or 9:00 pm.
Grading will be based on the student's performance, with successful completion earning them a certificate from the Arkansas Horseshoeing School. A minimum pass mark of 70% is required in four key areas: forge projects, written tests, final horse, and attendance and participation.

Advanced training is also offered through the Modern Materials and Advanced Forging Course spanning 24 weeks.
