The Howard Phillips Center is a part of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and provides dignity and healing for children, families and individuals who face overwhelming challenges such as child abuse, sexual trauma, developmental disabilities and lack of access to medical care. The $25,000 donation will be used to support services provided by the Orange County Children's Advocacy Center, which is a sanctuary for child abuse victims where professionals work through the cases from investigation to counseling to healing. The funding will help provide new medical equipment, transportation and other basic needs of low-income families to enhance overall services and more importantly, children's lives.

"We are thrilled to have received the Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare. This award is truly a gift to our children and families and for that - we are extremely grateful,” said Marie Martinez, Operations Manager, Howard Phillips Center.

"We were delighted to be chosen as the recipient of the 3rd Annual National Office Furniture Gift of Inspiration for Healthcare award. Corporate partners are invaluable to our community outreach programs and enable us to continue to serve even more children and families in our community,” said Zach Kallenbach, Administrator, Howard Phillips Center.

“The Howard Phillips Center and the Orange County Children’s Advocacy Center have an unwavering passion for the well-being of children. Their compassion and commitment are truly inspirational and we’re incredibly proud that our Gift of Inspiration will enable them to help more children and their families during difficult times,” said Kevin McCoy, General Manager, National Office Furniture.

About the Gift of Inspiration Program

Drawing upon knowledge from serving key customer markets of education and healthcare, National Office Furniture started its Gift of Inspiration program in 2009 to enable opportunities for educators and healthcare providers to enrich lives and communities. National wanted to do its part in supporting educators, students, caregivers, and care recipients with a chance to provide inspirational, meaningful programs, especially as funding for these important initiatives has been challenged in recent years. National’s program allows the company to give back to these markets with financial gifts that may be used for technology needs, scholarships, enrichment and development programs, or facility enhancements. National has awarded six Gifts of Inspiration to education and healthcare organizations totaling $135,000 in donations since the program’s inception.
