Robert Hormats Appointed to Tiedemann Wealth Management Investment Committee

Tiedemann Wealth Management announced today that Robert Hormats, former Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, will serve as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In this role, Mr. Hormats, who currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, will play an active role in advising the Firm on policy, economic and investment issues.

Before joining Kissinger Associates in 2013, Mr. Hormats served as Under Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Environmental Affairs from 2009 to 2013. During his tenure, he led the State Department’s efforts to develop and implement economic growth, energy, agricultural, oceans, environmental, and science and technology policies to promote economic prosperity and address global challenges. Mr. Hormats has held numerous other roles in government throughout his career including Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, Ambassador and Deputy U.S. Trade Representative, Senior Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs and senior staff member for International Economic Affairs on the National Security Council. Mr. Hormats also served 25 years as Vice Chairman of Goldman Sachs, International.
