PRLog - Apr. 15, 2014 - OGDEN, Utah -- National Testing Network, the leader in outsourced testing for public safety departments announces a new testing location in partnership with the Law Enforcement Academy, located at Weber State University, 3848 Harrison Blvd. Ogden, UT 84403.

This new testing location will deliver firefighter, law enforcement, corrections officer and emergency communications officer applicant testing services.  The tests are specifically designed to identify applicants with the necessary decision making skills and critical thinking aptitude to perform well in a career in public safety.

The National Testing Network is the sister company of Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research, Inc., a Washington state based corporation that has 32 years of expertise in testing public service professions, and specializes in video-simulated testing that exposes applicants to realistic experiences they would encounter on the job.

The National Testing Network will offer entry-level testing for city, county and state agencies looking to enhance their application process through a centralized, outsourced, testing location. The new location at Weber State University will serve public service agencies and applicants located in the Ogden and Salt Lake City areas.  This testing service will be convenient for local job seekers, and allow public safety departments to greatly reduce their applicant screening costs.

“Testing through the National Testing Network will help save public safety departments money because it allows departments the ability to outsource their employment testing so they can allocate funds elsewhere,” said National Testing Network President, Carl Swander, Ph.D.  “This new test site will also be more convenient for local job seekers because many different testing times will be offered, and they can schedule their employment testing at a time that is convenient for them.”

The National Testing Network offers real-time applicant score reports, making applicant’s test scores readily available to employers who are looking to hire new employees.  This enables NTN to provide clients with the most current applicant information, and the necessary test score data to enable public service departments to quickly make good hiring decisions.

“Weber State University is excited to work with NTN for a variety of public safety testing.  Weber State has an important role in preparing our cadets for service in law enforcement, corrections and other fields of public service.  We look forward to our partnership with NTN and hope that our collaboration will assist in providing outstanding candidates in their chosen field,” said the Director of the Law Enforcement Academy at Weber State University, Jack Rickards,
