By: PRLog
SAN DIEGO - June 27, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, one of the world's oldest and largest hypnosis certifying organizations, has added Timothy L Trujillo to its board. Founded in 1980 by legendary hypnotherapy pioneer Gil Boyne, the ACHE is highly regarded for its actions to define and protect the profession of hypnosis and certify practitioners according to the some of the highest educational and ethical standards in the field.

Trujillo, a student and instructor for Mr. Boyne in the mid 90's, distinguished himself early in his career for developing evidence-based applications of hypnosis to help people suffering from HIV/AIDS and other Immune Disorders. In the twenty years since, he has worked diligently to deliver these methods to populations in need through his global outreach project, First Medicines. He has expanded the program to help those affected by trauma, particularly related to conflict and disasters. Additionally, Trujillo is an esteemed instructor and has taught his methods to hypnotists throughout the world.

"Timothy has a long, well-established track record as a therapist and teacher and has demonstrated a strong commitment to the profession," according to ACHE President Dr John Butler. "These are the precise skills we are seeking to help this organization better fulfill its duties to its members, the profession, and the people who are served." Other current board members include Vice President Zoilita Grant, Charles Montagu, and Liza Boubari.

Hypnotism is currently undergoing a tremendous surge in popularity. As a human achievement tool, it is used by many top athletes and performers and hypnosis entertainment is at a seemingly all-time high. The longstanding use of hypnosis in habit control, smoking cessation, weight management, and substance recovery make it a critical tool in the struggle for global lifestyle health management. Its established effectiveness in stress and pain management, immunity support, and surgical recovery make hypnosis a premier modality in the field of mind-body medicine. The American Council of Hypnotist Examiners continues its mission to help make these benefits available in a safe, accessible, and well-trained manner.
