Sinq Technologies Experiences Growth Within EVV Industry

Home Health Care Mobile and Cloud Software Company, Sinq Technologies, Brings Quality Care Compliant With the 21st Century Cures Act EVV Mandate
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. - Jan. 8, 2018 - PRLog -- Sinq Technologies, LLC, a home health and home care technology solutions product and services company specializing in a customizable, real-time, industry-leading platform, is experiencing growth within the home care setting, in part due to the 21st Century Cures Act Mandate regarding home care Electronic Visit Verification.

Signed into law on December 13, 2016 by President Obama, the 21st Century Cures Act, Section 12006 requires states to implement home care EVV for Medicaid-funded care services.  States must have EVV for Personal Care Services in place by 2019, and Home Health Care Services by 2023.

Sinq views the mandate as an opportunity to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse within home health care, and at the same time, provide quality care for the individuals within the home.  The recent partnership with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey/Horizon NJ Health has created more buzz around Sinq's unique software platform.  In addition to helping agencies comply with the 21st Century Cures Act and EVV, Sinq's Strategic Collaboration Engine, Condition Alerts and Mitigation, and Care Plan and Documentation features provide for better coordination and communication among care teams resulting in closing gaps in preventative care, alerting service providers of decompensation, reducing hospital readmissions, and putting value above volume. Sinq also appeals to agencies due to its high security standards and its unique open-data standard that allows agencies to control their own data. Moreover, agencies are excited to cut time and costs created by paper work.

Matt Tipples, Sinq's Business Development Executive, notes that agencies are reluctant at first to undergo the EVV process, but once they are trained and onboarded, they find the experience rewarding.  "We are aware of their hesitations, but once we work with agencies and home care aides, they become more comfortable with our support services.  They do not miss the hours of paper work involved with their job.  We enjoy training and building a relationship with the workers who are most impacted by the EVV mandate.  The person-to-person support is a great part of my job because I work with the care team that is out in the field using our software.  They have hands-on experience, and they know what they need in order to provide quality care for their clients. "

Matt encourages agencies to continue to reach out and learn more about the home care EVV mandate.  "Agencies need to start soon with the development and implementation process in order to be compliant and avoid costly penalties.  It takes months from finding a vendor to sending home care workers out in the field with a quality software platform.  Plan ahead and be prepared."
