Earnings Preview: What To Expect From T-Mobile's Report

Bellevue, Washington-based T-Mobile US, Inc. (TMUS) provides wireless communications services in the United States and internationally and operates as a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG. The company has a market cap of $231.4 billion and offers voice, messaging, and data services to postpaid, prepaid, wholesale and other services customers. 

TMUS is expected to release its Q1 2026 earnings on Tuesday, April 28, after the market closes. Ahead of the event, analysts expect the company’s EPS to be $2.27 on a diluted basis, down by 12% from $2.58 in the year-ago quarter. The company has exceeded Wall Street’s EPS estimates in each of its last four quarters.

 

For fiscal 2026, analysts project the company’s earnings per share to be $10.49, up 3.3% from $10.16 in fiscal 2025. Moreover, its EPS is expected to rise 22.8% year over year (YoY) to $12.88 in fiscal 2027.

TMUS stock has declined 20.7% over the past 52 weeks, underperforming the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX17% rise and the State Street Communication Services Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLC15.8% rise during the same time frame.

On Feb. 11, TMUS stock grew 5.1% following the release of its strong Q4 2025 earnings. The company’s revenue grew 11.3% from the prior year’s quarter to $24.3 billion and surpassed the Street’s estimates. TMUS’ adjusted EPS for the quarter fell nearly 27% from its year-ago value to $1.88, due to a severance-related loss, and still managed to stay on top of Wall Street estimates. 

Analysts are moderately bullish on TMUS, with the stock having a “Moderate Buy” rating overall. Among the 30 analysts covering the stock, 17 are recommending a “Strong Buy,” three suggest a “Moderate Buy,” and 10 suggest a “Hold.” TMUS’ average analyst price target of $267.54 indicates an upside of 27.4% from current price levels.
